Help Send a Homeless Child to Cowboy Camp!
DISD established Cowboy Camp in 2006 in Midlothian, TX to provide homeless students within DISD a fun and educational experience over Spring Break. Cowboy Camp offers students living in shelters and transitional housing with a week of fun activities including art, dance, horseback riding, cowboy storytelling and hay rides — all around a Texas history theme!
Attending camp provides kids of all ages with the opportunity to try new things. We have seen children's self-esteem soar after a week at our camp. But most importantly, camp offers kids a chance to feel that they belong. Won’t you help?
